Kathi Eleniewski, RN, WCC, RAC-CT, Clinical Operations Consultant, has more than 25 years of nursing experience in long-term care and assisted living. Professional areas of focus have been Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, Standards of Practice, Utilization Review, Reimbursement, and Wound Care. Her professional goals include assisting facility processes to attain highest level of quality of life and quality of care as well as optimal reimbursement.
Prior positions held include: Clinical Manager for sub-acute care units, MDS/PPS Coordinator, Wound Care Nurse, Clinical Systems Coordinator, and Director of Nursing in both assisted living and long-term care settings. Direct responsibilities have been implementing and monitoring clinical systems to improve quality of care, audit of systems to ensure compliance including mock survey, clinical audits, reimbursement review, utilization review, and quality assurance performance reviews. As an RAC-CT, Kathi focuses on the clinical assessment process as well as the accurate completion of the RAI/MDS to ensure both regulatory compliance and optimal reimbursement.
As a WCC, she focuses on the teaching, training and implementation of wound care practice as well as the interdisciplinary team approach to achieve the best possible outcomes for resident care.
